Venue Sourcing Case Study
For the inaugural Aviva VIA Awards, our mission was to create an unforgettable experience that would captivate even the most seasoned Londoners and honour Aviva’s deep commitment to environmental responsibility.
Aviva approached us with a bold challenge: deliver the first-ever VIA Awards ensuring this event would stand out in London's crowded event landscape, while remaining uncompromisingly sustainable. The event needed to be iconic, engaging, and environmentally conscious — appealing to a discerning audience and setting a new standard for responsible corporate celebrations.

We selected the Natural History Museum, a venue that reinvests event proceeds into sustainability and conservation initiatives. Catering came from a UK-based supplier with ingredients sourced exclusively from British producers—from Scottish salmon to English wines. Menus were printed on seeded paper, featuring a map of the food’s origin. Not cut flowers but potted plants—some borrowed from local nurseries, others donated to St Mungo’s, all later planted in the charity’s community garden. Entertainment included a fire saxophonist and a dinosaur installation, tying the theme to the museum’s iconic setting.

The VIA Awards 2022 were a triumph of creativity and conscience. Guests dined beneath towering exhibits, surrounded by lush greenery and candlelight. The collaboration between Meet, Aviva, and local suppliers resulted in a celebration that was both visually stunning and environmentally sound. The event set a benchmark for sustainable excellence and laid the foundation for what is now an annual tradition.
